Maddie lives with her mom and dad, Ellen and Dennis Hierl, in Wisconsin. Here's what they have to say about their special girl!

"We absolutely love Maddie. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is an extremely easy dog to live with. One of her favorite things to do at the end of the day is to crawl into your lap just to cuddle. Maddie also is full of energy and loves to play. She plays catch with a passion. When she wants to play with us she will bring us a toy and just give us the sweetest look. It is hard to resist those soulful eyes.

Maddie has been in various training classes. She easily learns whatever we are working on. She has done agility and obedience training. Mostly we have worked on obedience skills for being a good family pet. Recently she passed her AKC Canine Good Citizen test. We are now preparing for obedience trails.

Maddie loves everyone and every dog she has ever met. Her best pal is our golden retriever, Abby. From the day Maddie came into our family, they have been best friends. One of their favorite things to do together is to play tug of war. She is easy-going and never protests any care that is needed. Her vet and groomer always comment about what a good dog she is and how easy she is to care for. Maddie loves watching the birds in our yard and all the rabbits have felt it in their best interest to no longer live in the yard! Overall, she is a wonderful pet."
