Kismet's On The Rocks, liver and white bitch, bred by Libby O'Donnell-Naimo and John Naimo, owned by Teri P. Nelson, Russell Nelson, and Libby O'Donnell-Naimo.

Roxie came to us in May of 2001 from John Naimo and Libby O'Donnell-Naimo of Kismet English Springer Spaniels in New Jersey. She was shown some in conformation as a puppy, picking up a 5 point Reserve Winners Bitch from the 9-12 puppy bitch class, and winning or placing nicely in sweepstakes classes. She accumulated several single & double points, and then we put her up for a while to concentrate on agility while she matured. In the summer of 2002, she was placed 4th in a very competitive 12-18 month bitch class at the ESSFTA Nationals in Olympia, Washington under judge Suzanne Burgess. In May of 2003, at just over 2 years old, she was Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for a 5 point specialty major at Potomac Valley English Springer Spaniel Club under judge Elizabeth Muthard.

In agility, her sound conformation has served her well as she has performed exceedingly well. She started competing regularly at age 2 years old, and has earned the following titles:

  • AX (Agility Excellent.AKC)
  • AXJ (Excellent Jumpers.AKC)
  • EAC (Elite Agility Certificate.NADAC)
  • EJC (Elite Jumpers Certificate.NADAC)
  • NGC (Novice Gambler's Certificate.NADAC)
  • TN-N (Novice Tunneler's Certificate.NADAC)

She is unusually fast for a springer, and has recorded times up to 5 1/2 yards per second...beating some really nice border collies along the way!

We hope to finish her conformation championship in 2005, and start working on those MX and MXJ titles, too
